Local sources in Takhar say that four people were injured when a hand grenade exploded in the money exchange market of Taloqan, capital of the northern province.
“The explosion took place at around 9 a.m. on Saturday when an old man came to the Haji Issa money exchange shop with a hand grenade to get back his loan,” one of the eyewitnesses told Zan Times.
“He had brought a hand grenade to scare Haji Issa, but they got into a fight in the shop and the grenade exploded, killing the man. Haji Issa and two others were injured,” he said.
But a source from the hospital told Zan Times that the man who wanted his loan back did not die and is still in coma in the hospital.
Mobeen Safi, the spokesperson of the Taliban police in Takhar, told Bakhtar News Agency that three people, including the person responsible for the explosion, were injured.
